Old Murrine Plate

The murrine used in this plate was produced in the Fratelli Toso 1854 furnace. These plates are produced by Claudio Tiozzo who has a small selection of old murine bundles that he uses to make these works.

Currently this type of rod with decorations and motifs (that are very difficult to make) is no longer produced as there are no longer the technical skills of the past. The dishes can be composed with murrine coming from different canes thus creating particular patterns.
