This series of plates and bowls are made with murrine obtained by cutting glass rods pulled by hand. The master creates the design of the Punta Conterie logo by superimposing several layers of glass collected with the barrel in the different crucibles and modeling the glass mass according to the design. Once the design with the various layers is completed, the mass (“paston”) is attached to another metal rod (“fero da conzaura”) and pulled up to the desired diameter. The design created inside the barrel remains identical even if it is pulled with a very small diameter. The barrel is then cut into slices about 1 cm thick and become murrine.

To create plates or bowls, murrine is brought together, then baked in the oven to create a plate. The plate is then flattened and sanded to obtain a uniform surface. The plate is then placed on top of a mold and melted again to give the desired shape. Certain plates and bowls have a further external grinding process to give a “beaten” effect that embellishes the piece.
